Thomas Richards earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University (Princeton, New Jersey) and a JD in law from Columbia University (New York, New York). He has worked in the medical device and pharamecutical industries for over 25 years, having served as a senior executive in numerous companies including Pharmacia (acquired by Pfizer), Karl Storz, and Teraklin Inc (acquired by Gambro/Baxter). In virtually all of his roles he has been responsible for Research & Development, Legal Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs. As a senior partner in IM3, Tom interacts frequently with the Food & Drug Administration and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Tom holds multiple patents and frequently publishes in a variety of scientific and medical fields.
Sylvie Dufresne earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Université Laval (Quebec, Canada) as well as a M.Sc in Chemical Engineering. She has worked for over 20 years in the medical device industry, having served in a senior role with TSO3 Inc (acquired by Stryker) and Belimed AG. As a partner in IM3, Sylvie is primarily responsible for sterilization services, having an extensive patent portfolio in alternative sterilization methods. Sylvie is an active member of the ISO Sterilization committee and is an advisor to FDA in the field of alternative sterilization methods. Sylvie has published extensively in microbiology and sterilization methods, and speaks multiple languages including French and German.
Gino Morello earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (Newark, New Jersey). He has worked in the medical device industry for over 25 years, having served as Director of Systems Engineering and most recently as Head, Innovation Portfolio Management for Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. Gino also has extensive experience working with implantable cardiovascular mechanical circulatory assist devices, including hardware and software development, management of fluid dynamics, and remote monitoring. Gino is responsible for managing all of the IM3 design and test services from a laboratory facility located in New Jersey. Gino is an active member of the Texas Instruments Technical Expert Advisory Panel (among many other groups), and has an extensive patent portfolio; he speaks fluent Italian.
